A phrase to describe the National Achievers Congress 2009 – Absolutely amazing and informative! Having already read most of the books in the Rich Dad Series, I was very interested to meet and listen to Robert and his Rich Dad team.

The Rich Dad team certainly didn’t disappoint, they covered extensively on the different aspects on successful investing and business to reach out to the audience.

The seminar was conducted from ground-up with the team touching on the fundamentals of being rich and successful – that of altering one’s mindset, from one from the E-S Quadrant to one from the B-I Quadrant.

The basic tenet of his philosophy being to generate sufficient passive income through investments and/or business so that this passive income can support you.

Only then, is one truly financially free! The seminar was truly enjoyable as the Rich Team used appropriate anecdotes and analogy to bring their point across, from teachings of Robert’s Rich Dad to the success stories of Rich Dad’s advisors.

The Rich Dad advisors were primed to educate the participants on their specialist field as they are truly experts in their field. Blair Singer, the advisor on sales was truly informative and entertaining and was adept in reaching out to the audience. The energy present in the presenters clearly invigorated the audience and enhanced our learning.

The team approach to delivering the content was also refreshing as the banter between the team enhanced learning and Robert’s questions to his team presented the content in an easy to learn way for those who are professionals as well as amateurs with little prior knowledge in the field.

In addition to empowering our mind, Robert also encourages discussion among fellow participants to promote learning as learning was not restricted from the trainers but I also learnt from fellow participants as they shared their knowledge and experiences.

The NAC functioned not only as a platform for the trainers to develop our Millionaire Mindset, but there were also concrete strategies for success. For example, Michael Maloney providing the participants investment strategies for commodities by showing us charts and making comparisons of today’s gold and silver prices and encouraging us to invest in these physical commodities.

The real estate specialist Ken McElroy also substantiated his points by providing simple illustrations of making huge returns by purchasing real estate and renting them out.

In these trying economic and volatile market situations, the specialist in paper assets – Andy Tanner enlightened us on the various strategies where investors could profit not only on a market upswing but also in down markets and markets which trade sideways.

The attractiveness of the NAC was that it exposed participants to a wide range of topics – from that of sales, branding, investments in paper assets, commodities and real estate, but it also provided participants the opportunity to further their education in their desired field.

There were different products on offer for the interested participants, from other seminars which are catered specifically to the various fields to books and other audio-visual materials.

On the third day of the Congress, speakers like T. Harv Eker and Greg Secker made appearances. Mr Eker was truly energetic and truly left a deep impression on me with his inspirational tones in creating the Wealthy Warrior in us. I developed and enhance my positive mindset just after a session with Mr Eker and felt truly energized.

I could sense that in this session he really laid the foundation of the Millionaire Mindset in me and other participants. Greg Secker also captured my attention with his strategies in becoming a successful Forex trader.

This being my first NAC was truly an enlightening, informational and inspirational. I would totally recommend attending this Congress to everyone as the speakers are truly world-class experts in their field and their delivery is both informational and interesting. Robert Kiyosaki Live In Singapore 2009 Review

It’s great to learn from Robert Kiyosaki again since 2004 he came to Singapore. This time round Robert brought alone his wife, Kim Kiyosaki and his advisers to Singapore on the 26th ~27th May in Singapore Expo Hall 2.

Robert still teach the same thing on being responsible for your own financial future. So it’s good to recap on what he taught back in 2004. He still focuses on teaching on how to build a business, investing on property and investing in stocks.

This time round, Robert added in a new topic that is to invest in gold and sliver (commodities). Gold and silver has been in a cycle that when there is a crisis, man will always go to metal (gold and sliver). The reason why is that in the ancient times, man used gold and sliver to purchase items.

It is only in the 20th century that man used notes to replace gold as a form of trade, because gold and sliver are too heavy to carry around. Now the paper notes (currency) are backed up/supported by gold. United States Dollar are actually not supported by gold, thus the reason of its drop in value as it can’t stand the setback of the financial crisis.

I have always been interested investing in property. Robert’s advise for those who do not have cash to invest is to find partners to join venture in property investment, as this will increase the bank’s trust in a group of people for borrowing money, instead of just one person. The ones Robert is investing are properties that have over 50 or 100 apartments in a building, because he said that managing a landed house or a 50 room building is the same.

You will need to engage a property manager for the property for both types anyway hence might as well invest in bigger ones instead. And best of all, most of the properties in the world are decreasing in value, it is time to start investing. The best place now is United States as they are been hit the most by the financial crisis, causing a lot of people to lose their job thus not able to pay for their home loans.

Lastly for business, Robert and Blair Singer (one of his advisers) always stress on selling, leadership, team and system. Without selling in a business, there will be no profit. Without leadership there will be no vision and mission in the business. Without a team you cannot achieve all things that are important in a business.

Without a system the business cannot operate correctly. Though business is the toughest of all the three financial tools, but it reaps the most reward for money as well as your learning curve. Want to be a success? Make as many mistakes as you can in the shortest possible time!

In all, I must say that I learned a lot from Robert and his team, and I am thankful for his teachings. Now is the best time to start investing, it is only up to your mindset to start the ball rolling. No one can help you to secure your financial freedom except yourself. Keep trying!Similar Posts:

The Cone Of Learning: Which Level Are You Now?

Were you one of the students that did not do well in school? Have you ever wonder why even if you study very hard yet still not getting the best result? The answer is that school uses reading and lecture as the primary way to educate students, and that reading and lectures are the least effective in terms of learning.

The statics for reading is 10% of remembrance for reading and hearing words is 20% of remembrance for hearing. That will explain why most of the students in school does not do well. Everyone of us are different in nature, we can remember more by watching, or doing, or hearing, or teaching or playing. This is the part where you have to discover yourself which will help you the most in learning.

Robert Kiyosaki knows about this and use it into his CashFlow 101 Game. I have played this game more than 20 times now, yet I am still learning from the game. Here is the cone of learning that Robert used in his teachings:

As you can see that are two nature of learning; passive and active

Passive Learning: It has reading, hearing words, looking at pictures, watching a movie, looking at an exhibit, watching a demonstration, seeing it done on location. For this nature of learning, the student need not take action, and thus will not be getting the most out of learning the subject.

Active Learning: It has participating in a discussion, giving a talk, doing a dramatic presentation, simulating the real experience, doing the real thing. For this nature, the student is require to take massive action, and thus resulting learning the most from the subject.

Robert Kiyosaki understood this teaching and use it into his seminars and his CashFlow 101 board game. He understand that in order to for the student to learn the most, the student has to take action on his part willingly, in this way will the student learn the most out of Robert’s teachings.

I have been to Robert Kiyosaki’s seminar back in 2004, and he used a lot of action teaching to help me to understand and remember what he taught. So every time he has finished his subject, he will always instruct his audience to share or discuss with the person next to the student. This way, the students will remember even more. Robert will use games, discussion and simulation to help the students to learn.

So next time, when you are attending a seminar, if the speaker is only giving lecture, he or she is not a good speaker. A good speaker or teacher is able to help students to use their visual, audio and movement to maximized their learning.

Cashflow 101 Competition: What A Turnout!

The Cashflow 101 Competition was great fun! Even on a Sunday morning, the exceptional turnout was impressive at Singapore Expo Hall 4. With over 600 people turning up and seated at over a hundred tables, the competition was well-underway by 9.30am.

Facilitated by one of the Rich Dad Advisors himself, Kelly Ritchie – it was fun to watch how participants played this game that closely reflects your attitude towards wealth generation.

After a brief introduction to the rules of the game, the game started off with great gusto thanks to the enthusiasm of the large crowd.

There is no doubt everyone wants to become rich but those who actually make it are so little. Some might even have asked these questions to themselves many times:

How come I’m not earning enough money?
How do I get paying clients that stick with me? Is my business model working right?
How come no matter how hard I work and earn, it is never enough?

As you play the game, you are presented with business opportunities (additional stream of income) or setbacks (being retrenched) or a new addition to the family (additional expenses).

Some players were retrenched three times in a row (really really bad dice throw) but surprisingly enough despite the early setbacks – there were those who actually managed to escape the rat race! Their passive income easily exceeded their expenses and liabilities. It was quite clear who will win the game.

The reason was that they clearly acknowledged and took advantage of business opportunities or great bargains (like an undervalued stock or property) presented to them. They took action and didn’t hesitate to create another stream of cash to come in.

The next question of course comes in: how do you train yourself to identify such opportunities when they come by? One way is of course through education and picking the right mentors to learn from. A clear example is of course Mr Bellum Tan who rose from humble beginnings to set up Rich Dad Asia and became a millionaire a few times over in the process. I’m sure one can easily guess who his mentors are.

The Cashflow game closely mirrors real life – life is just as unpredictable as the throw of the dice. It is said how you play the game reflects your mindset towards wealth creation. But one thing clear in the minds of the people who were present was that a single source of income is not a guarantee. In fact, it is a great risk especially in times of recession like now – to just depend on a single job.

It was a lovely and educational atmosphere to be in with every person taking away valuable lessons on cashflow importance and generating different income streams. And the winners clearly deserved their complimentary tickets to meet Robert Kiyosaki and his team of advisors who will be coming in May to Singapore!

I have recently heard that Success Resources will be organizing the largest Cashflow 101 Competition in Asia! Boy, I like to see the crowd playing there. Cashflow 101 is invented by Robert Kiyosaki, almost at the same time he wrote the book called “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”. I have personally played the Cashflow 101 game for over 20 times now, and I still enjoy the game very much.

The purpose of this board game is to educate you in your financial knowledge. If you want to be rich, then this cash flow 101 is for you. It’s because it will show you your true nature when it comes to money. Are you a spender (most of the people are), an investor (not a lot of them), entrepreneur (even lesser numbers than the investor), or worker (the situation most people are in now), or a risk taker (few who made it to be rich)?

The Cashflow 101 revolves around accounting a lot, where this is the basic of business and investing. Knowing whether you are making money or losing money in your investment is a very fine line between success or failure. The accounting process in this game is very basic, you will need to debit the transaction somewhere and credit it somewhere. If you are not very familiar with the accounting entries, fear not.

The game is set that for every transaction you make in the game, someone next to you will double check your entries. You will learn accounting basics at the end of the Cashflow 101 game.

The Cashflow 101 game’s rule is that you must have a passive income that is greater than your monthly expenses. If you do achieve this, you will then be upgraded to the arena of the rich. Learning how to INVEST FAST is the key to winning the game. The game is reflected like in our daily lives where opportunities appear to us daily, weekly and monthly.

It is how we can perceive them to our advantage and be able to get out of the game in the fastest time possible.

Cashflow 101 will show you your true nature in your mindset towards money, sort of like a mirror showing you your financial future. Robert Kiyosaki has said that the game is a reflection of yourself in life. Wouldn’t you want to know what your true financial nature is?

A lot of people often miss out a very important aspect in business: which is marketing. In a business, there will be products or services that have to promote to the market. Horizontal marketing is to use all means to make your business known to consumers, it can be through internet marketing, joint venture (as I shared), get resellers for the product or services to promote, tissue marketing, banner advertising, word of mouth,etc… The sky is the limit. When you have tried all types of marketing, then you will realize there is only one type of marketing that will bring you the profit, you will only know after you have done all the trials.

The above sharing came from Robert Kiyosaki’s seminar where he taught me how to do business in a tough world. Business also gives the highest return on investment, compared to other forms of investment; it is also the most fulfilling too.

Good news for Robert Kiyosaki’s Asia fans, Robert will be in Singapore 2009 May. He will be bringing his wife Kim Kiyosaki, and his team of Rich Dad’s Advisers as well.

I have been to Robert Kiyosaki’s event before in 2004 when he was in Singapore. Back then there were already over 4 thousand people in the event. It was a great place to make friends where they had the same mindset – to be rich and wealthy.
