Selling Requires Energy

Its been fun returning to Blair Singer’s 2 days “Authentic Sales And Leadership Program”. Actually its like my third time attending the program, and it has always give me new insights and old ones as well. What I want to do is to share on what I have learn from the first day itself.

Everybody in this world is a sales person, even if you are not a sales person in profession, in a way you are selling your ideas, your thoughts, your decisions, etc…. A very interesting questions popped up during the event by Blair: “How many of you are married out there (about half the room raised their hands)?”

Then Blair asked another question: “This is for the married men out there, how many of you remembered that you have to sell yourself first then you are sold to your other half?” The audience laughed.

It is true that we humans living in this world has to sell to someone out there, and in order to sell whatever you are selling, requires energy.

Yes, selling requires energy! It is those that has the highest energy are able to sell to those that have the lowest energy. That will mean that you as a sales person, must have a higher energy than the one selling to.

So how do we get this energy during selling?

By having a conviction in the product or service you are selling that helps them in whatever they want or solve their problem(s). Yes conviction. A strong believe that if you use it, you will be able to be free from your problems. Of course this conviction can also come from you trying or testing the product or service, you believe it because you have tried it and given you results.

Take me for instance, previously I was a seminar junkie (that was back in 2004 and 2005), I believed that by attending seminar and learning from the successful people, I will be able to be as successful as them. That is why I became a staff with Success Resources a few years ago, because I believed or I have the conviction that by learning from successful people, you can be successful as well.

This is also called modeling (a NLP word). Meaning model or learn from. Let’s take for example that you want to be a great presenter like current U.S President Barack Obama. Watch a video presentation of him presenting, and model exactly what he does on the video, his tone, his gesture, his look, his focus, everything! You will realize that you can talk just like Barack Obama too.

The last thing that I want to share is that you must have the passion to teach your staffs to sell, if you do not have the passion to teach, then you will be expected to be at your current position for a very long time or being sacked. Because if you can’t duplicate yourself, how can you get better result?

So by teaching your staffs to sell, meaning everyone in the company must sell, even if its the telephone operator, or the store man, everybody must sell.

Robert Kiyosaki Live In Singapore 2009 Review

It’s great to learn from Robert Kiyosaki again since 2004 he came to Singapore. This time round Robert brought alone his wife, Kim Kiyosaki and his advisers to Singapore on the 26th ~27th May in Singapore Expo Hall 2.

Robert still teach the same thing on being responsible for your own financial future. So it’s good to recap on what he taught back in 2004. He still focuses on teaching on how to build a business, investing on property and investing in stocks.

This time round, Robert added in a new topic that is to invest in gold and sliver (commodities). Gold and silver has been in a cycle that when there is a crisis, man will always go to metal (gold and sliver). The reason why is that in the ancient times, man used gold and sliver to purchase items.

It is only in the 20th century that man used notes to replace gold as a form of trade, because gold and sliver are too heavy to carry around. Now the paper notes (currency) are backed up/supported by gold. United States Dollar are actually not supported by gold, thus the reason of its drop in value as it can’t stand the setback of the financial crisis.

I have always been interested investing in property. Robert’s advise for those who do not have cash to invest is to find partners to join venture in property investment, as this will increase the bank’s trust in a group of people for borrowing money, instead of just one person. The ones Robert is investing are properties that have over 50 or 100 apartments in a building, because he said that managing a landed house or a 50 room building is the same.

You will need to engage a property manager for the property for both types anyway hence might as well invest in bigger ones instead. And best of all, most of the properties in the world are decreasing in value, it is time to start investing. The best place now is United States as they are been hit the most by the financial crisis, causing a lot of people to lose their job thus not able to pay for their home loans.

Lastly for business, Robert and Blair Singer (one of his advisers) always stress on selling, leadership, team and system. Without selling in a business, there will be no profit. Without leadership there will be no vision and mission in the business. Without a team you cannot achieve all things that are important in a business.

Without a system the business cannot operate correctly. Though business is the toughest of all the three financial tools, but it reaps the most reward for money as well as your learning curve. Want to be a success? Make as many mistakes as you can in the shortest possible time!

In all, I must say that I learned a lot from Robert and his team, and I am thankful for his teachings. Now is the best time to start investing, it is only up to your mindset to start the ball rolling. No one can help you to secure your financial freedom except yourself. Keep trying!Similar Posts:

What I Have Learned from Blair Singer’s Event

I remember the first time I knew about Blair Singer is on 12th March 2007. His first performance in Taiwan. I thought He is just like the most of the Masters that Success Resources promote; famous, friendly, successful…….. but I was wrong, because when I went to his 2 days and 5 days seminars, I found out that he’s more than what I know about him.

The first time I went to his 2 days seminar in Thailand. The most important things I learned is about “TRUST “. And I spend almost 1 year to realize what is it .

Who is the person that you TRUST? How much do you Trust them? Do they Trust you as you do? Why you trust them? How do you know that you trust them? If you want to build a TEAM like a company…family….you must know what it is.

In the past, I always choose to trust person because I think they are all good persons. And I also thought they will treat me in the same way. But for some of my experiences I get hurt from the people who I believe and trust. Specially when something Very Shocking happened in your life. It doesn’t mean they want to hurt you or they don’t love you, it’s just because maybe they are playing the game with the different rules. And finally I know how important it is – Code of Honor. Play the game with the people who want to play and I realize why Blair always mention that in his courses. SET THE RULES with people who you really care.

Now, I’m more happier and communicate more with the people who is important to me.

If you have a bad relationship with someone who you really care and you want to fix it up，or you want to have an awesome TEAM to make your dreams come true , even though you want to find out how big you are deep inside yourself. No doubt! Go to Blair’s courses! And you will get what you want.

5-day Sales Partner Program by Blair Singer

I’m a General Manager of a training company in Malaysia. I never think that I’m a sales person or I can do sales. I always think that my main responsibility is just to run the company as long it doesn’t make any loss. Doing sales is not my job! Blair Singer has changed my thoughts completely and he also proved that I can also do sales with outstanding results.

What I liked the most during the 5-days was the volley ball game. Blair said the game was a reflection of attitude. True enough, each of our different characters starts to emerge during the game. Some has shown great leadership while some are just being spectators and not participating while some are like superstars ready to show off but not a good team player.

I also learned that in a team, it’s always mission first, team second and lastly being self. But many people including myself have been focused on self, then team and mission. It is no wonder why our target (mission) could not be achieved.

There is another astounding thing happen in this 5-day. I never see such things happen in my life or in my team. Guess what? It is just 10 minutes… just in 10 minutes our team was able to generate sales revenue of SGD 12,789. It is only for a group of 35 people. We were shocked by the number that we achieved. Think though again, if 10 minutes SGD 12,789, how much would it be in one hour? That’s SGD76, 734 no kidding! Would you be excited if your team can make SGD 76,734 in one hour?

I don’t believe I’m a sales person but I actually generated thousands of sales throughout the 5 days. Not me only but the rest are the same. There are business owners, top management; finance personnel in the room. But everyone proved to themselves that they can SELL!

The fact is EVERYONE SELLS! Blair is really a great master that he gives his whole heart to teach and coach us to be a great person. He also gives us clear picture if we wish to be a successful business person we need to know ourselves, our team and the numbers. Numbers will tell us the truth about the business performance.

Finally it is not just about sales. It is also about relationships. Find out the relationships with the people & the relationship in the numbers… You will find that business is really that simple!Similar Posts:

Authentic Sales And Leadership 2008

Authentic Sales and Leadership seminar is an event by Blair Singer. Teaching you the fundamental of business is that everybody must sell in your company.

The reason that 95% of the businesses fail is the same reason that most people never become rich. It’s not because they don’t have great ideas, great products or services. It’s because they can’t, don’t know how or refuse to SELL.

Sales equals income, equals energy. That was where I learn from Blair Singer last year in Malaysia. It was a very different event compare to other events. Through it has lots of content, but its the doing that really show what your true nature is.

Have you been led by anyone who was in high in emotion, turning you into the same? Well, I have. A couple of times, customers were angry with the situation they are in, and they say words that hurt or anger me. That was where my emotions were high and my intelligence low. We as sales people must not be led by the customers, instead we must led the customers to where we want them to be.

Another important skill Blair Singer taught there, were objection handling. He has us go through objection from from our partner (acting as customer). We are to give an acknowledgment then a questions after an objection. Blair shared with us that he did this as his foundation as a sales person. If we were to go through this objection handling daily for 15 minutes, we will be the top sales person in our company in no time.

This event is not just about sales, it is also about leading. If you are able to sell but all the others in your company can’t, you are in deep trouble. The rule for a successful company is that everyone sells in that company. So you must teach them how to sell.

This event is meant for sales people out there wanting to build a highly successful sales team and be able to teach others to sell as well.

There are a lot of other sales skill I learn which were the foundation of a sales person.

Good news is that Blair will be coming to Singapore on 19th ~ 20th June 2008. Bad news is that its a FULL HOUSE.
