Unleash The Power Within 2009 Review

It has been one of my biggest dreams to attend an Anthony Robbins seminar, Live! I created this dream way back in 2002…

…Fast forward to September 2009. A series of moments I will treasure forever. Moments I can anchor upon for conquering myself and creating for myself a powerful life state. Here are my highlights from this life-changing program.

Day 1 – The Firewalk Experience

The first day of Unleash the Power Within started around 1pm.

I was already waiting at Singapore Expo around 9am imagining how I was to walk barefoot on blazing red hot coals. Tony Robbins (in the videos I have watched) has always downplayed the firewalk merely as a metaphor. I cannot wrap my mind on such downplaying because even as I know of it as a metaphor for conquering fears; they were so BIG that they stop me right on my tracks. The image of the HOT coals appear very real in my mind. (it did not help to know that there are no tricks involved.)

But then, Tony introduced us to the Power of being in Peak State. Suddenly, the fear of getting burned was no longer a factor in my life as i know that the incredible state i learned how to be in would protect me from the fear that stops me. What was even more remarkable about what Tony has taught is that you can immediately apply it. My wife only arrived around 7pm, the same time when Tony was already instructing the audience how to do the Firewalk and she was able to do it successfully.

We TOOK ACTION and conquered our fears! I am so proud of my wife, myself and for being at UPW.

Day 2 – Seeing My Dreams Take Form

I know what I want, or so I thought. I have heard that thoughts are things. I have watched and read the popular materials about the Law of Attraction. But Day 2 pushed me to a higher understanding how my dreams can be turned to reality.

First the Ultimate Success Formula was explained. (1) Know My Outcome, (2) Know My BIG Why’s, (3) Take Massive Action, (4) Evaluate My Progress and (5) Change My Approach until i Get Nearer and/or Faster to My Outcome. Then this strategy was strongly supplemented by the Power of Belief. If thoughts are things, then beliefs are the mountains – they either block us or raise us to greater heights. I choose the latter.

Well, the belief i adopted is that, “I CAN!”. The big conclusion is putting my Passion in writing and reinforcing it with decision, commitment and resolve.

Day 3 – The Day of Transformation

If I was super excited about the firewalk, I was highly ecstatic of my transformation experience beyond expectations.

I became aware that Mastery is holistic and never applicable to a few areas of my or anybody’s life. There are 7 areas of constant growth which may be developed starting with the foundation in physiological accomplishment until the peak of spiritual fulfillment. The strategies in organizing resources to achieve success immediately are very helpful especially in communication and human relations – determinants of one’s quality of life.

Finally, becoming aware of one’s hierarchy of values and limiting beliefs moves your life toward the direction you wish it to be. It was very true on my part. I realigned my values with my passion and eliminated my limiting beliefs by replacing them with empowering ones – “I am Success, Creative and Abundance!”.

Day 4 – Revolutionary Insight into Health

My mind was literally cracked open by the ideas presented during this day. This is the only day when my doubts about the program were strongest because the ideas they were sharing were truly radical. What softened my stance though were two things: (1) they are not forcing us to follow what they are sharing. We can consider it as a “second opinion”. and (2) we are seeing the speakers truly manifesting the results they say we can have by trying out their proposition for a “few” days… (OK, 10 days, the minimum, is not at all few days in my calendar without meat, milk or all the other sumptuous foods I have gotten used to.).

But then, i tried it…unwillingly at first…a little supported afterwards (thanks to my semi-vegan mom!) and then i begin to enjoy it. Even if I have not fully subscribed to the 10-day challenge (…not yet! due to peer…ok i admit, due to my children’s pressure who eat more heartily with foods not highly recommended in the program…), I am beginning to feel the benefits of living healthy and happy about my improved energy. I wonder how my body would react if I fully follow the program? You and I already know the answer to that…do you? 

Bottomline, the Unleash the Power Within understated its marketing punchline when it stated:

“(The Program) is about seizing the power that is already within you and using it to lead a life of your own design, rather than one that’s been scripted for you by your environment, your history, society, or anyone else. It’s about not settling for less than you can be – in all areas of your life.”

I am astounded by the Power I have discovered within me by attending this program. I know you will too when you experience Anthony Robbins’ powerful intervention.Similar Posts:

Unleash the Power Within was by far the best ever seminar that I’ve attended here in Singapore. I didn’t actually signed up during the UPW preview since my other educational investments (internet marketing) on installment is still ongoing. On the other hand, Anthony Robbins has been one of the many top personal development coaches from my iPod Nano (4^th generation).

I’ve even shared what I’ve learned from his audiobook Unlimited Power in my blog. In my mind, I’ll be missing a lot if I will not be able to attend and see him live. So I kept on communicating thru my contact in Success Resources until I was given a good deal from the usual price and so I finally made to the event.

UPW was a non-stop action from September 4-7, 2009 at Singapore Expo. On the first day, we were conditioned to conquer our fear by Firewalking over burning coals by repeating a mantra “cool moss”.

As our group approaches the fire coals I can see from my height that only a few burned coals were left and so I became more confident since this will be a piece of cake for me. Later on, the fire walking came to a stop and saw a wheel borrow with fresh burn coals coming and spreading all over the fire walk way. My heart beats faster as I came closer and closer.

There was even a lady who gave her turn to others first until she can regain her confidence back. Now, it was my turn and my determination was still a strong as ever and just did follow as Tony Robbins had instructed us.

I walk as normal (not fast and not slow) with head above looking forward with the repeated chant of “cool moss” every step. I finished the fire walk with an ease and jumped for celebration with high fives to everyone. I was on fire.

I must admit that I felt the pain after some time and I actually got blisters the day after. I am still capable of firewalking if given another chance. The level of my mental state had dramatically increased as I will just have to remember that experience whenever I will encounter challenges in my life. I will evolve continually to be the best that I can be and conquer the field of limitless and unknown.

During those 4 days, I felt I was close to heaven since all races of different colour; religions and cultures all over the world came to one place and created the highest possible level of energy on earth at Singapore Expo.

There are no boundaries as every individual are all equal in love to one another especially to the extraordinary God sent friend, Anthony Robbins.

There was a moment at day 3, where I was really emotionally intense to the point of crying because of the pain through The Dickens Process exercise of limiting beliefs and empowering beliefs. It was like watching myself in the big screen, as the actor creating a story of success in the future through a time machined space bubble. It was like the movie Back to the Future with me as Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox).

Lastly, If you Can’t, You Must! Now I am the Voice. I will lead, not follow. I will believe, not doubt. I will create, not destroy. I am a Force for Good. I am a Leader.

Defy the Odds! Set a new standard! Step Up!

A phrase to describe the National Achievers Congress 2009 – Absolutely amazing and informative! Having already read most of the books in the Rich Dad Series, I was very interested to meet and listen to Robert and his Rich Dad team.

The Rich Dad team certainly didn’t disappoint, they covered extensively on the different aspects on successful investing and business to reach out to the audience.

The seminar was conducted from ground-up with the team touching on the fundamentals of being rich and successful – that of altering one’s mindset, from one from the E-S Quadrant to one from the B-I Quadrant.

The basic tenet of his philosophy being to generate sufficient passive income through investments and/or business so that this passive income can support you.

Only then, is one truly financially free! The seminar was truly enjoyable as the Rich Team used appropriate anecdotes and analogy to bring their point across, from teachings of Robert’s Rich Dad to the success stories of Rich Dad’s advisors.

The Rich Dad advisors were primed to educate the participants on their specialist field as they are truly experts in their field. Blair Singer, the advisor on sales was truly informative and entertaining and was adept in reaching out to the audience. The energy present in the presenters clearly invigorated the audience and enhanced our learning.

The team approach to delivering the content was also refreshing as the banter between the team enhanced learning and Robert’s questions to his team presented the content in an easy to learn way for those who are professionals as well as amateurs with little prior knowledge in the field.

In addition to empowering our mind, Robert also encourages discussion among fellow participants to promote learning as learning was not restricted from the trainers but I also learnt from fellow participants as they shared their knowledge and experiences.

The NAC functioned not only as a platform for the trainers to develop our Millionaire Mindset, but there were also concrete strategies for success. For example, Michael Maloney providing the participants investment strategies for commodities by showing us charts and making comparisons of today’s gold and silver prices and encouraging us to invest in these physical commodities.

The real estate specialist Ken McElroy also substantiated his points by providing simple illustrations of making huge returns by purchasing real estate and renting them out.

In these trying economic and volatile market situations, the specialist in paper assets – Andy Tanner enlightened us on the various strategies where investors could profit not only on a market upswing but also in down markets and markets which trade sideways.

The attractiveness of the NAC was that it exposed participants to a wide range of topics – from that of sales, branding, investments in paper assets, commodities and real estate, but it also provided participants the opportunity to further their education in their desired field.

There were different products on offer for the interested participants, from other seminars which are catered specifically to the various fields to books and other audio-visual materials.

On the third day of the Congress, speakers like T. Harv Eker and Greg Secker made appearances. Mr Eker was truly energetic and truly left a deep impression on me with his inspirational tones in creating the Wealthy Warrior in us. I developed and enhance my positive mindset just after a session with Mr Eker and felt truly energized.

I could sense that in this session he really laid the foundation of the Millionaire Mindset in me and other participants. Greg Secker also captured my attention with his strategies in becoming a successful Forex trader.

This being my first NAC was truly an enlightening, informational and inspirational. I would totally recommend attending this Congress to everyone as the speakers are truly world-class experts in their field and their delivery is both informational and interesting. I Was Teased By Anthony Robbins

Boy! His hands were huge, like banana hands, just like what Jack Black described in his movie ‘Shallow Hal’ about him. I can’t imagine shaking the same man’s hand after watching ‘Shallow Hal’ in 2001, and that was where I first got to know Anthony Robbins, or Tony Robbins.

It was only 3 years later that I got to see Anthony Robbins ‘Live’ in Singapore . It was a huge hall in Singapore Expo, people were crowding, making a lot of noise, there were dancing, singing, hugging, and best of all I was sitting right in front of the stage, furthermore it was the center of the very first front row. It was THE BEST seat in the entire hall.

Just before ending the dance on the stage, Tony appeared and led the whole hall to a stop. Then he asked us to give 10 different persons a hug, and thank them for being there. That was a experience I did not expect, but boy it feels great! We got seated down, Tony was sharing with us that he realized some of us were not doing what he told them to do. So he share why people in the first time meeting each other tend to be more taken aback, especially the Asians. Tony needed a volunteer for a experiment. Well for me I was not about to volunteer myself as I was from the NAVY, which also mean ‘Never Always Volunteer Yourself‘, and use it quite most of my time in the Navy as well.

But lo and behold, Tony’s finger pointed at me and said; ‘Sir, please come up as my volunteer.’ I was stunned for 2 seconds then finally moved my butt to the stage. Tony ask for my name, and he said that imagine that we have never met before, stretch out your hand and shake his hand. So I did as told, then Tony suddenly pull his hand back, and walked away.

Then he shared with everyone, that imagine that people doing that to you, and you will not feel good about it. So he asked everyone to always give an empowering gesture and making the other person feel good during these 4 days. Tony thanked me, and finally gave my deserved handshake to me, the first one in the seminar. And when I got a standing applause from over 4000 people, that felt good.

For the rest of the time, Tony shared so much with us that will blow you away, on your words, physical, thoughts, and focus, etc… I must say going to Unleash The Power Within was the best decision I had ever made that time. I guarantee you that you will be transformed and have the best time in your life if you decide to learn from Tony too.
