Robert G Allen in National Achievers Congress 2010 Singapore

Robert G Allen is one of the first few speakers who I learned from when I first started in attending seminars, that was in National Achievers Congress 2004. It has been 6 years now since I last hear him speak again, and boy was I excited to hear him again in National Achievers Congress 2010 in Singapore.

A short intro about Robert Allen, he is one of the top financial gurus who has turned thousands of people into millionaires. Robert is a popular talk-show guest and has appeared on dozens of programs. Robert has also been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Barron’s, Money Magazine, and Reader’s Digest.

Robert Allen has written books like ‘Nothing Down‘, ‘Creating Wealth‘, ‘Multiple Streams of Income‘, ‘One Minute Millionaire‘, ‘Multiple Streams of Internet Income‘, ‘Cracking The Millionaire Code‘, and ‘Cash in a Flash‘.

I did learned something new from Robert Allen today, since my last encounter with him in 2004. He shared with us that in order to be successful there are three things you need to learn. ‘Know How’, ‘Be How’, ‘Who How’.

Know How – This is the part where most of the people wants to learn, the technical stuff, the methods, the strategies, etc… I do agree with him that I also want to learn a lot from other gurus who are successful in their fields too. So most of the people will attend seminars, buy books or audio CDs of the experts. But this will account 10% of your success journey.

Who How – This is talking about the peers you hang out with. Do they make you a better man or woman, or do they want you to stay where they want you to be? Your peers will determine what future you will have. In order to be successful, you got to find peers that you can account for, ones that will kick your butt if you do not do what you set your goals on. This will account 25% of your success.

Be How – This is regarding your inner self. Do you see, smell, taste, feel, and hear what you will become in the near future. To become successful, you have to act, walk, talk like a successful person. This is where you will need mentors to guide you to your success. You model after your mentors, learn from them, talk like them, walk like them and act like them. If you have different multiple streams of income, you learn from different mentors. This is conditioning your inner self to the become the man or woman you want to be. This ‘Be How’ accounts 65% of your success.

I am very grateful to Robert Allen for making me realised that I need to focus a lot of my ‘Be How’, which I seriously lack and is the area that I need to build and learn most on. So for this year my goal is to ‘Be How’ (learn and build my inner self) to the man I want to be. Thank you Robert!!!!!!!

How to Get Rid of Negative Talks? Be Positive!

Not all people who talking to themselves are crazy. Sometimes, we just don’t realize it but we are talking to ourselves most of the day. It is a like a radio inside our head. It is talking to us and reminding how silly, bad or good we are. It also serves as our critics in our actions. Worse, it can change our mood and outlook into something pessimistic.

The voices in our head sometimes cause negative to us. It sometimes dictates us what to do and what to do not. For an instance, if you want to apply for a job or change your life into something productive, this voice will object your plan and will feed you fears and in turn, you will be afraid to try what you have planned beforehand. This will control your life and decision if you are going to let it. Yes, it can be helpful sometimes but you have to make sure that it won’t control you but it’s you who will control it.

But don’t you worry just yet. There are some steps you can try to get rid of those negative voices and self-talks. Those voices will turn into something positive and will be your avid fan later on. Here are those:

Step #1 – Listen and be aware to the voices in your head

Mostly, we are just letting the negative voices to come and go off our minds. Try to listen to them once in a while. Be aware on how it speaks to us. Is it saying same thing over and over? Is it judging and criticize our actions most of the time? Also, know what the effect of those voices to you. Sometimes, we are just letting those negative voices leads us and in turn, we are being controlled by it. As a matter of fact, negative self-talks deceive us. It feeds us fears and doubt. Thus you have to listen, focus and be ware on what this voice is saying and causing to you. You will be able to determine who is really controlling you.

Step #2 – Asses your Inner Voice

There are two voices in our inner – the positive and negative. What kind of voice do you think speak to you most of the time? Is it the voice of doubt and fear? Is it causing you agony? Is it making you feel down? Or maybe you can hear some positive voice that gets over with the negative one? Then you should be glad. You have to practice talking to your positive voices more often. You can easily recognize if it’s a positive voice. It can make you feel joyful and happy. In a long run, you will feel optimistic towards life.

Step #3 – Talk to positive voices more Often

After you have determined which voice talking to you most of the time, you can now start change your negative talks into something positive. How? Pay attention and listen to the voice that making you feel good and ignore those voices that doing otherwise. Rather than listening to the voice that saying “everything I touch falls apart”, better listen to voice saying “I pull everything together”. Real Social Marketing Secret was conduct by Simon Leung, facilitated by Fabian Lim on 13th Mar 2010, Singapore Management University, School of Economics. I was there the whole day, where Simon was sharing most of the time, and Fabian added in some thoughts into social media marketing, using Twitter, Facebook, Video Marketing & Social BookMarking.

Social marketing has been the talk of the town (actually the talk of the world), bringing thousands of free traffic to your website or affiliate sites, thus making money daily. So how is it done then? To get thousands of visitors to website and make money out of it?

The key to the whole social media marketing is to building relationship.

Yes, it is that simple. As Simon put it that in order to build a list via your social media sites, you have to be in relationship with them. For example, you may be using Twitter to build a list, sending them to affiliate sites or even to your blogs etc, but they never seem to buy anything.

For this I was also wondering how it can be done? The trick is to talk about it without even selling it on your Twitter. This way you will get your twitter followers to find out more about what you are talking about, thus its like recommending to them. You can also use twitter to start a question, this is a great way to get your followers to engage in the talk, thus making them involve in the discussion. You will be surprise to see that by engaging with your twitter followers, you will also increase in your followers number too.

Video is also a great way to get more traffic and at the same time increase in your followers in your twitter and facebook. What you need to to is to produce very short videos of yourself, sharing on where you are, recommending things that are great after you used it. It can be done using YouTube or even 12Second.tv, as they are free and easy to use. The trick in video marketing is to show funny, or informative, or lifestyle, anything that shows that you are real.

As for Facebook, what you need to do is to set up a fan page of your own, and from there slowly build your fans. You videos and picture play a very important factor in generating traffic. What you need to do is to tag your fans in your pictures and videos, this way you will be able to give curiosity to friends of those whom you tagged, wanting to find out more. And when they come into your fan page, there is a button above the fold, asking you to join the fan page. Of course you will need to provide content, pictures and videos to get them to be your fans.

I will be trying on the the tips for twitter, become more involved in building relationship with my followers. And I was just doing what Simon told us to do, and there was an increase in my followers (20 followed me today). I am looking for more to come. Google Analytics Master Class 2010 Review

I was able to attend the Google Analytics Master Class today in Singapore. It was quite interesting to see Google organised this event for free in Singapore. Anyway there was about 400 people in the event today, most of them were working for someone and it was full house (though the event room was huge). There were great speakers (although not professional speakers) talking about Google products, and the main topic today was on Google Analytics.

Each speaker was given about 20 minutes the most to share on their experiences using Google Analytics or other Google free online products that will help online marketers succeed using their products. Here are the what I learned from each and everyone of them in summary (though not all were I listening, some were too boring and not able to grab my attention. So I did not really remember). Here goes:

Beth Liebert, product manager of Google Analytics were sharing the most important thing in Google Analytics. The product is used to analysie the traffic, details of the people who comes to your website. The most important thing is to set up goals for your Google Analytics. With it, you will be able to define the core business of your website.

Barbara Pezzi, Director Webmarketing & Ecommerce was sharing with us on her experience working with Swissotel hotel. With the use of segmentation in Google Analytics, she and her team were able to find out who are the ones buying, who are not buying, high bounce rate, etc… In the end, their team was able to help Swissotel hotel increased their online marketing and more than 20% increase in sales.

Stephanie Hsu, a Google Analytics Specialist with Google was sharing with us on how to use Google Analytics that will help us (Internet marketers) find out how flexible, powerful and intelligent Google Analytics can be.

Adrian Tan, Director of ClickTrue (online Marketing Services company in Singapore), was sharing how SEM consultants convinced the HiPPOs (High Paying People’s Opinion, that means boss) that using SEM is essential to business online or offline success.

Vinoaj Vijeyakumaar, Customer Solutions Engineer of Google Southeast Asia was sharing on how to shape the Google Analytics funnel. With the funnel shaped you will be able to visualise how your traffic comes to your website, then become a prospect, then to a sale.

There are many others, of which I would recommend listening to Barbara Pezzi, Vinoaj Vijeyakumar, Jon Stona, Rachit Dayal and Madona Michael, which I find is suitable to what I was looking for.

What I find is consistent in the Google Analytics Master Class is to use the Goals to define your business model, then from there onwards go deeper to find out more about your traffic. At the end of the day, I feel that I learn a lot from these experts, and best of all there were drinks, foods and beer to go with when ended. I feel that this event was Google’s way to promote their online product, and thus have more people to use Google search engine.Similar Posts:

Bellum Tan’s Rich Dad Cashflow Workshop Review

Yesterday I was at the Rich Dad Cashflow Workshop conducted by Bellum Tan which was held at YMCA Singapore. It was not a very huge event, but the sharing by Mr Bellum Tan on RichDad’s principle of business and investing. Before that you can click here to read more about Mr Bellum Tan.

I have known Mr Bellum since 2007, and have heard him spoken a couple of times. It’s always refreshing to learn from him.

During the event, Bellum shared with us why he continued to teach using RichDad’s principle, its because he made a promise to Robert Kiyosaki. Here is the story: A few years ago, Bellum was again in Robert Kiyosaki’s event in U.S. He was staying in Robert’s home, and Bellum was so grateful to Robert for the teachings learn from Robert, so he asked Robert, “I want to give you a gift for the years of teaching and the investment I have with you. Tell me what is it that you like to have?”

Robert replied “Bellum, I do not need anything. I have the money to buy whatever I want. I just want you to continue teaching what I have taught you to the world.” This was the promise Bellum made to Robert, and the reason why Bellum is still teaching now despite his age.

There is a very important lesson which I learn during event. In most of life, we went through the school education, work, marry, make babes, etc… In RichDad’s teaching each and everyone of us are given time to start the game of our life. The game of life has 4 quarters, each quarter has 10 years of time. The game of life starts when everyone of us are 25 years old, presuming all of us went through the university.

The average age of man is 78, and woman is 83, which means the end of game. Now we were told to tear away the part where our ages is, most of us when doing this, found out almost 1/3 (some even half) were left. Most of us were shocked when we did this, we realised how little time we have left to be financially free.

Then Bellum told us to set the age we want to be financially free or making our first million, which we did. Then Bellum told us to tear away the set financially free age, we realised that our lifetime here in this world is now getting shorter. This simple measurement of the game of life made me realised that time is always moving, and it does not wait for anybody. I must get my financial free age (make a million SGD) confirmed in 35 (I am 32 this year), and yes this is also a promise to all who is watching this blog post.

I will be writing another post on what Bellum was teaching during the event soon. By the way the one day event (Rich Dad Cashflow Workshop) is very affordable, like less than SGD $50, which is so much better than watching a movie, where you can only learn little, but in the event you will be learning skills that can change your life.

Jaz Lai: Inbox Cash Explosion Review

3 weeks ago I helped out at Jaz Lai’s event where he has better structure than his previous Income List Booster. What I must say is that the current students are getting more than what I learn from him in the previous seminar.

Here are the main ideas when you are attending:

1) Create a squeeze page. A very simple looking webpage, it does need to have multiple pages. You will need a web hosting and a auto responder to go along with.

2) Drive traffic to squeeze page. Jaz will be covering the few most popular ways to drive traffic, article marketing, video marketing, forum marketing, blogging, ad swap, etc…

3) Create a follow up system emails that will make your subscribers buy from you. Jaz will teach you a 7 email formula called MR FUs to get your subscribers to act. Making them look silly if they do not buy from you.

4) Market, market, market. Here are some of the great tips that Jaz will be sharing in marketing products, and they are so easy to use. It can only not work when you do not take action.

Do or Do Not, There Is Not Try

I remember this scene while attending Date With Destiny in 2005, Tony Robbins share with us about the wisdom of Master Yoda. Master Yoda said to Luke Skywalker, “Do or Do not, There is No Try.”

Isn’t that true in life too, trying to do it is so weak, almost telling yourself that you will fail.

Since the 6 days with Tony in Date With Destiny in 2005, I tell myself that I will do it, if not I will not. Sometimes situation may not allow me to want to do it or I am not confident to do it. I will always go back to this movie clip to remember that I can do it. Enjoy…

I was Pissed at Myself

Getting pissed at someone or something is one thing, but to be pissed by yourself is another. This was what happened to me years ago…..

Years ago, back when I was in the Naval Diving Unit (NDU), I was a sign on then, meaning a contract solider fighting to defend for my country. 3 reasons why I signed on as a Naval Diver:

1) I dreamed of becoming a commando in the SAF, as I had a uncle who was one when I was way younger. He looked tough and heard of his stories in the jungle trainings. I was impressed. So I dreamed of becoming one, but I was not chosen, but instead another elite force took me in, it was the Naval Divers.

2) The money was good. The money is still good compare to a lot of people working out there for commercial companies. There was a saying from one of my instructors; “Signing on will not make you rich, but it will pay you well”. I agree till now.

3) I had nothing to do after I leave as NSF. I had no idea what I should do after my period with the unit after I serve my NS. So I took up as a full time solider, serving the country, getting fit, doing what I like.

It was only after about 3 years later that I got into a medical checkup and found out that I am not suitable to dive, and was officially “excuse from diving permanently”. Do you know what it means? That I can no longer dive in the SAF anymore, this killed my Naval Diver job.

This pissed me off totally!!!!! B(

Why did this stupid thing happened? Why didn’t the medical checkup when I took before I enter the force tell me that I was not suitable to dive? Why did this happen after I went though all this hardship of being whacked, doing stupid punishment and putting pain to myself? Why??????

Then I had a though, I should have just get the easy way out by giving excuses or get some medical doctor to review me unfit for the fitness the training will go through. I was pissed at myself. I should taken the easy way out back then.

It was only in 2005 that I realised that it was all destiny. And that I will determine my destiny.

Then I began to invest in myself, I do not trust in the iron rice bowl theory when you are in the military (working for the government also). I went to attend seminars, like Tony Robbins, T.Harv Eker, and many others. They are great teachers who teach one same thing always, it’s your mindset.

Yes mindset. They will always start with the mindset first. Its because without setting your mind (decide) to do something that can change your life, even God can’t help you. Do you agree? You have to decide to change then your destiny will change.

I have attended seminars that talk a lot on mindset, the Millionaire Mind Intensive which is a seminar by T.Har Eker. The name of the program already tells you what it’s teaching, to have a millionaire mindset. Thought you may not want to be a millionaire, but this program is to be a winner, and most of the millionaires are winners. So all the more you should learn from a winner like T.Harv Eker.

Jim Rohn, the great business philosopher, teacher, mentor and motivator who has changed so many people’s lives, passed away on the 5th Dec 2009.

I had the honor of listening to Jim Rohn live in person three times in Singapore. To me Jim Rohn was a motivational speaker as well, because the first two time I listened to him – it was in a Herbalife session.
